Taqueria Ultimo Taco: Authentic Mexican Fare in Brownsville

AMAZING.!!! DELICIOUS FOOD, great kind and patient employees. Exceptional service and food… don’t go at night though. We came all the way from Idaho with Ultimo taco on our bucket list. More than satisfied but giving 4 stars because our tripa was wayyyy crispy that it was basically pork jerky. Love coming here every Christmas break

my gawwddd some of the best tacos i've ever haaaddddd. i will always come back any time i have a layover in brownsville. didn't have to wait long for the food to come out, good staff. just the best *chefs kiss* i got the steak tacos with everything on it.

Food was good. Inside was packed so we ate outside. Waiter only checked on us once the whole time. Other than that can't complain.

A highly reccomended taquueria (and its a real one with tons of ala carte tacos) food was really good, staff was very very nice. The place is well maintained and modern. Great experience. Reccomended

Came here with some co-workers after work and we ordered tacos and a gordita. the lady was nice at first and offered us some frijoles as an appetizer and everything was good but then we never saw her again. Our food came out and we need refills and no one came to our table. Finally a different server saw that we needed something and gave us a refill. after that we had to ask for everything because our server was no where to be found and the one time we saw her she was on her phone. Other than that the food was a 10/10 and super fresh. Complements to the chef!

Pulled into the parking lot and it was basically full so I knew this place was legit. Got the last spot. Inside was packed but somehow we snagged a table. Heads up the menu is in Spanish and most of the staff speaks Spanish too. Just use the translate app on your phone and you're good. Get the Gringo Taco. Trust me.

Stopped in on a work trip with three work buddies for a late dinner. The house was packed! Ordering is easy and the staff was super friendly and fun. They only have beef and pork, so if you are vegetarian, vegan, or have AGS, you may be out of luck. Prices are great! I fed four grown tradesman for less than $60. They do not serve beer or anything else with alcohol. Very happy eating here and will definitely come back.

Taqueria Ultimo Taco was so delicious, we ended up going back twice during our trip! Everything we tried was delicious - the tacos were packed with flavor and super fresh, and the soup was also delicious. The horchata was also a delicous - sweet, creamy, and refreshing. Perfect with the meal. The staff were super nice and welcoming, and the vibe was great. They had a telenovela playing on the TV. There’s a lot of seating inside and even outdoor seating. It’s a popular spot, so the parking lot can get busy, but there’s another lot nearby. We parked there and just walked across - it wasn’t far at all. If you're in the area, definitely make a stop here. And don’t be surprised if you find yourself coming back for round two like we did!
